Robot Olympics Camp

Be a Robot Olympian! Build and code VEX IQ robots to play soccer, run races, and more! Compete in challenges and Robot Olympic Events as you learn about coding and engineering with VEX IQ.

During Robot Olympics Camp, your camper can be a coder, a coach, and a creative thinker — all while having fun exploring STEM ideas and concepts with VEX IQ! 

Campers will work together to solve various challenges as part of their Robot Olympics, to ignite their love of learning through game-based engineering and coding challenges that blend creativity and imagination with STEM learning.

Students will build the entire game from scratch using Python code and learn about functions, loops, collision detection, game logic and more!

• Build and test a robot collaboratively.
• Communicate ideas and design strategies with a group to complete challenges.
• Collaborate to solve coding challenges.
• Students will begin to learn how to code a robot using loops and conditions.

Skill Level:

• Level 1 - Students have little to no experience with VEX IQ Kits.
• Students who are new to or curious about engineering and coding robots.

5-Day Camp Overview:

• Build a VEX IQ Clawbot.
• Drive a robot to compete in Robot Soccer.
• Code Clawbots to complete challenges.
• Collaborate to create a winning game strategy in the Robot Olympics.
