During the STEM Gadgets and Games Camp, your camper can be a scientist, engineer, designer, and creative thinker — all while having fun exploring and learning about STEM ideas and concepts with VEX GO!
Campers will work together to design, build, and explore simple machines and structures to ignite their love of learning through engaging activities that blend creativity and imagination with STEM learning.
In the 5-day STEM Gadgets and Games camp, campers explore designing and building with VEX GO to create structures and gadgets that use motion and force. They will construct simple machines, like a lever, a spring car, and a clock, to explore how they work and can be used. Campers will then create and adapt additional builds to continue to explore the mechanics behind familiar gadgets and games by building a helping hand, creating a battle boats game, and designing their own pendulum game.
Students will also learn how to create and program video games using Kodu Game lab:
-Learn the basics of programming with Kodu
-Learn to apply knowledge to create your own games and worlds
-Develop problem-solving skills
-Make fun games to play with friends and family.
